I hate paying so much

Gas prices have really restricted the number of things I can do. Even normal activities are getting more and more expensive and I can't do the things I used to. It's hard to travel to see family now for one thing. Over the past few years I've visited my family every month. My sister and I are close and I know that she enjoys the regular visits. All the driving is adding up because each trip costs a fortune. All that money doesn't include the cost of food. Eating is costing more now too. Even the cost of milk has risen. Prices will probably continue to rise. The diesel that fuels our infrastructure keeps getting more expensive. Our trains, semis, trucks, and ships all use diesel when they trasport our goods to market which is driving up the cost of everything. I don't understand how we are supposed to keep absorbing the high prices. Employers are going to have to pay their employees more just so they can afford to buy groceries which will make the problem worse because the companies will have to pass the cost on to their customers. The higher prices will cause problems for our country for years to come. All the products we depend on will keep increasing in price if something doens' t happen. We can't possibly support our peace keeping efforts in the middle east unless something changes. People don't realize that our presence holds the region together. If Isreal wasn't our ally they would attack Iran. That conflict alone could escalate into world war three and it looks as if it just might happen in my lifetime. Such expensive fuel could quickly collapse the whole world's economy. It is a real shame. We have got to make some changes and soon. I wonder what kind of world there will be for our children. It might not be such a good future.
